Poonam McAllister, Owner, is a Physical Therapist with more than 22 years of experience. For eleven years, she was employed by OSF Saint James Hospital in Pontiac, IL and served eight years as the Director of Rehabilitation. She is experienced in evaluating and treating various orthopedic, neurological and developmental diagnoses for a broad spectrum of patients from pediatrics to the elderly.
Poonam has extensive training in the treatment of patients with balance and mobility problems, and has also completed coursework at the American Institute of Balance in Largo FL. She is a faculty member of NeuroCom International, an organization that provides the leading edge technology and research in the treatment of patients with balance disorders. At Saint James, she shared enthusiasm and passion for treating dizzy patients. Her dream of helping these patients became a reality when Central Illinois Institute of Balance was opened in 2007.
Kim Weber, is the newest member of our team. Kim graduated in 1988 with a Bachelor's degree from Rockhurst University in Kansas City, MO. Kim went on to work in a variety of acute care and orthopedic settings with an emphasis in outpatient and acute orthopedic rehabilitation. In recent years, Kim has specialized in industrial rehabilitation, work injury consultation, outpatient rehabilitation and therapy in long term care settings. With a goal of sharpening her clinical skills, Kim returned to school and graduated with a Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy in 2014 from the College of St. Scholastica in Duluth, MN.
Kim is looking forward to using her many years of experience to assist the clients of Central Illinois Institute of Balance in reaching their goals of improved function and mobility.
Kelly Pyle, is an Audiologist with more than 10 years of experience. She graduated from Northern Illinois University in 2001 with a Master of Audiology degree. She earned her Doctor of Audiology degree from A.T. Still University in 2007. She was employed by OSF St. Francis Medical for 4 years where she provided a wide range of diagnostic and hearing services, in addition to assessing dizzy and imbalanced patients. She has five years of experience at OSF. St. Joseph Medical Center, where she assisted in establishing the Balance and Dizziness Center, and provided diagnostic services of patients with vestibular disorders. Kelly has also been employed at Illinois State University as a Clinical Supervisor and Instructor at the Eckelmann-Taylor Speech and Hearing Clinic since 2007, where she teaches the graduate course, Vestibular Evaluation and Treatment, to graduate students in Audiology. She currently is the Director of Clinical Experiences in Audiology at Illinois State University and provides vestibular evaluation services at Central Illinois Institute of Balance, weekly. Outside of work, Kelly enjoys spending time with her husband, Eric and their two children, Wade and Nolan.
Robin Poston , is an experienced Occupational Therapist (OT) with an emphasis in hand and upper extremity rehabilitation. Robin graduated from St.Ambrose University and has worked in various settings including multiple outpatient therapy clinics. She was the OT and Health Center manager at Mitsubishi motors for over 17 years. Robin has skills in hand, elbow and shoulder rehab including splinting. As an OT, her passion is to help clients function in their daily routines to their greatest potential. Robin is excited to bring her experience and expertise to offer occupational therapy services at the Central Illiniois Institute of Balance.
